In this class, presenter LeRoy Goldman will review the new book by Thomas Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum, That Used To Be Us, which chronicles how America has mouse-trapped itself and what it can do to restore its greatness.

Mr. Goldman had a 37-year career with the Federal Government that included serving as Staff Director of the Senate Subcommittee on Health and Scientific Research, as an Associate Director at the National Institutes of Health, and as a member of the Senior Executive Service. Mr. Goldman wrote a political op-ed column for the Times-News in 2008, and since 2009 has written such a column for the Asheville Citizen-Times. Mr. Goldman is one of the co-founders of Citizens Against Politics As Usual and is an Honorary member of the Indiana House of Representatives. |
